XL Broadband started when Even Galvin wanted to play online games. He went door to door asking his neighbors to help him bring high-speed internet to the neighborhood. He raised enough capital to bring in fiber and distribute it. XL Broadband was born! In October of 2022 Even decided it was time to step away and Bertram Communications took over. We retained all of our original staff who were integral to the operation. We now service parts of 5 counties in Illinois and we have expanded into Indiana.
XL Broadband is dedicated to providing high speed internet to areas other providers ignore. With our recent acquisitions in Indiana we provide service in 2 states and 9 counties.
To bring the internet to everyone. Not just folks who live in larger metropolitan areas.
